Spiritual Care Chaplains Network (SCCN)
Welcome to the website of Spiritual Care Chaplains Network (SCCN).
This is not a professionally created site but you will find a lot of good information here concerning what SCCN is all about.
There are three divisions of SCCN.
First, The Clinical Pastoral Education Division:
We are an affiliate campus of Clinical Pastoral Education International, (CPEI.Edu) We provide the highest quality, fully accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) and a roadmap to Board Certification when you meet the criteria of our Board Certification affiliate CPEI.Edu
Our CPE classes are guided by the Vision, Mission and Core Values of CPEI.Edu. CPEI is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC),which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
We do not proselytize and we train our chaplains to work with people from all faith backgrounds For more about Clinical Pastoral Education go to the “About CPE Page above”.
In our capacity as Chaplain Educators for SCCN we do NOT Proselytize or discriminate against any patient on the basis of Age, Religion, Sex, Culture, or Color.
Our Affiliations and Accreditation information is as follows.
CPEI.Edu is accredited through the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHIA)
As an affiliate campus of CPEI.Edu, we are authorized to use their education resources in our CPE program and our accreditation with DEAC is through CPEI.Edu and being an affiliate.
Second Is TheEcclesial Chaplain Licensure Division:
The Ecclesial Chaplain Licensure Division is a separate division of SCCN from the Education Division.
SCCN provides Ecclesial Chaplain/Clergy Credentialing as a:
Volunteer/Community Chaplain,
Licensed Chaplain, or
Ordained Chaplain.
Through Ecclesial Credentialing, we provide a network of Chaplains and Pastoral Care providers for peer mentorship, fellowship, and Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
To qualify for Ecclesial Chaplain Licensure, one must be a clergy member of SCCN, agree with SCCN’s Statement of Faith, Vision/Mission Statements, and CPEI’s Code of Professional Ethics.
Our Third Division’s Mission is to deploy well trained, and well qualified Chaplains to underserved communities.
We deploy Community/Volunteer chaplains into underserved communities to fill the gap where people do not receive Pastoral Care and paid chaplains who are well-trained and qualified chaplains to underserved communities by providing chaplains who are qualified chaplains involved in the marketplace as Volunteer, Professional Chaplains in the Marketplace, and Clinical Chaplains.
SCCN Chaplains are trained to work with other faith groups and we do NOT Proselytize or discriminate against any one we serve, on the basis of Age, Religion, Sex, Culture, or Color.
Spiritual Care Chaplains Network (SCCN), Is a proud affiliate of Clinical Pastoral Education-International which requires the highest of standards for their affiliate organizations.
SCCN is also accredited through Clinical Pastoral Education International (CPEI) by International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and is authorized to issue the IACET CEU
